Most small businesses can't justify a full-time IT hire — but they absolutely need reliable, expert support. I'm Tyler Spaeth, a Kansas City-based IT professional with 15 years of experience serving as the outsourced IT department for small and mid-sized businesses across the KC metro.
Small and mid-sized businesses deserve the same quality IT support as large corporations — just tailored to their budget and scale. Here's what I provide.
A solid, secure network is the backbone of your business. I design, install, and maintain business-grade networks for offices of all sizes so your team stays connected and productive.
When your team has IT issues, every minute of downtime costs money. I provide responsive, expert support that gets your employees back up and running fast — remotely or on-site.
You don't need a full-time CTO — you need someone you can call when it counts. I help small and mid-sized businesses make smart technology decisions that cut costs and support growth.

I started KC Network Tech because small and mid-sized businesses deserve the same quality IT support as large corporations — without the cost of a full-time IT hire. Most SMBs don't need someone in the office every day, but they absolutely need someone they can count on when things go wrong.
With a Computer Science degree and 15+ years of hands-on IT experience, I've supported businesses across industries — from building entire office networks from scratch to managing Microsoft 365 environments for teams of 25.
When you work with KC Network Tech, you get direct access to a seasoned IT professional who learns your business, knows your team's setup, and becomes a trusted extension of your organization. No call centers. No ticket queues. No runaround.
Choose the plan that fits your business, or go hourly for one-off projects. All plans include a free 30-minute business IT assessment to make sure we're the right fit.
A few things businesses usually ask before working with KC Network Tech.
Monthly plans run from $149/month (up to 2 hours of remote support) to $549/month (up to 10 hours with on-site visits and a 2-hour response SLA). One-off help starts at $100/hr for general IT support and $150/hr for consulting or after-hours work. Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute assessment, so you'll know exactly what you need before spending anything.
Both work. Monthly retainers make sense if your team needs ongoing support, but plenty of clients hire me for one-time projects — a new office network, a Microsoft 365 migration, or a security assessment. Flat project pricing is available, so you get a quote up front.
I specialize in small and mid-sized businesses from 1 to 25 employees — companies big enough to depend on their technology, but not big enough to justify a full-time IT hire. If you're larger than that, reach out anyway and I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit.
Both. Most day-to-day issues are resolved remotely, which keeps response times fast and costs down. For hardware, network installs, and anything that needs hands on equipment, I come on-site anywhere in the Kansas City metro. The Professional and Business plans include scheduled on-site visits every month.
Yes — user accounts, email, licensing, security policies, and migrations for both platforms are core parts of my managed IT service. If you're moving from one platform to the other (or off an old email server), I handle the migration end to end.
We spend 30 minutes talking through your business, your current setup, and your biggest pain points. You walk away with a clear picture of where your technology stands and what I'd recommend — whether or not you hire me. No pressure, no obligation.
Every new client gets a free 30-minute business IT assessment — no pressure, no obligation. Tell me about your business and I'll tell you exactly how I can help you run leaner, safer, and smarter.
Tell me about your business and I'll get back to you within one business day.
